Tekken 8: Gameplay reveal trailer shows new character

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has released a new trailer for its upcoming Tekken 8 fighting game on Friday. The new trailer showcases the new character named Paul Phoenix in all his glory.

The game is currently under development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco Entertainment is yet to announce a release date. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazam, Paul Phoenix, Marshal Law, King, Jack-8, and Lars Alexandersson are set to make a comeback as playable characters.

The company announced Nina Williams as a playable character during its Tekken World Tour Final 2022 event on February 5. Tekken 7 was introduced for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam in June 2017. The Tekken: Bloodline anime series also premiered on Netflix in August 2022. The anime series follows the stroyline of the Tekken 3 fighting game.

Crayon Shin-chan anime and Shin Kamen Rider collaboration

The Crayon Shin-chan anime will soon be getting a collaboration episode with Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider live-action film. The episode is said to air on March 18 and feature Sousuke Ikematsu as Takeshi Hongo/Karmen Rider, Minami Hamabe as Ruriko Midorikawa, and Tasuku Emoto as Hayato Ichimonji, their respective characters from the live-action movie.

The Shin Karmen Rider film will be released in Japan on March 18, although it will be shown countrywide on March 17 at 6 PM. The film will also be played in Dolby Cinemas, IMAX, and 4DX.

Other cast members include Shinya Tsukamoto as RIRIKO’s father, Toru Tezuka as Komori Augment-01, and Suzuki Matsuo. Hachi Augment-01 will be played by Nanase Nishino and Mirai Moriyama will play RIRIKO’s older brother Ichiro Midorikawa.

Anno will do the direction, scripting, and production of the film. Shotaro Ishinomori will take the credit for the original creator. Besides, Katsuro Onoue will be the associate director, with Ikki Todoroki as assistant director. Famous designers Mahiro Maeda, Ikuto Yamashita, and Yutaka Izubuchi — who have collaborated with Anno many times before– are the upcoming film’s designers.
