In the 97th chapter of “Spy x Family,” “The Day Before School Starts,” Loid, Yor Briar, and Anya Forger face the challenges of getting ready for the start of the school year while maintaining their genuine anonymous identities. Part one of this chapter details Loid’s efforts to get his psychokinetic Esper daughter, Anya, to attend her first day of school unseen by her classmates.
However, Yor’s job as a teacher cum assassin isn’t without its difficulties. As they collaborate on a believable backstory for Anya’s admittance into Eden Academy, Loid and Anya get closer in this chapter. The school’s stringent regulations make it impossible for students to sustain many personalities, and they also learn about these laws and regulations.
At the end of chapter 97, Anya’s classmate and member of the Ostania spy organization, Damian Desmond, makes an unexpected appearance. This entrance sets the stage for future plot twists in “Spy x Family” and raises concerns about the safety of the Forgers’ hidden identities. As the Forger family prepares to start school and juggles their two lives, chapter 97 mostly focuses on their everyday activities.
