What exactly is a player ID?

A player ID is a form of identification that is unique to your account and its information—because no one else can have the same player ID as you, it’s an excellent way to distinguish yourself from other players. There are also item IDs, group IDs, and experience IDs, all of which serve the same purpose. These IDs are essentially numerical usernames stored in the background of your account.

How do I locate my player ID?

PC

Navigate to your profile on the Roblox website. Click on the three lines in the upper left corner, then select the icon of your Roblox character. Locate the address bar above the actual website’s window in your profile—it should say something like https://www.roblox.com/users/123456789/profile.

Your unique player ID is the nine-digit number that appears before /profile.

Mobile

Unfortunately, the Roblox app does not allow you to obtain your player ID. Instead, go to the Roblox website on your mobile device and follow the steps outlined above.

Xbox

The Xbox Roblox app, like the mobile version, does not allow you to obtain your player ID. Instead, you’ll need to log into Roblox with either a computer or a mobile device and follow the steps outlined above.

What am I supposed to do with my player ID?

If you’re concerned that a friend won’t be able to find your account using the standard friend search, send them your player ID and have them enter it into their address bar by using the template https://www.roblox.com/users/ /profile. They can go to your profile by replacing the underscores in this url with your player ID.
