His only goal is to stay alive long enough for Sohaeng to solidify the Hua Shadow Sect’s foundation and succeed him. In spite of this, Chung Mung is aware of his ailment and will attempt to treat it in the next chapter.
Everyone in the Hua Sect agrees to help Chung Mung find the Sword Graveyard once he successfully persuades them. Sohaeng had deliberated long and hard before deciding to crake the map’s location. He’s the most trustworthy of the cult members, therefore he might figure it out.
