Raji: An Ancient Epic – Enhanced Edition is expected to include numerous changes and improvements over the original game. There will be items such as:

• Voiceovers in Hindi: These can be toggled and add an authentic flair to the game’s narration. It was a feature that many Indian fans requested, so it’s great to see that developers are listening to the community.
• New game modes include: There are currently no details on what these are, but the studio should provide more information as the Enhanced Edition release date approaches.

What is Raji: An Ancient Epic about?

It tells the story of the titular Raji, a young girl thrust into battle between gods and demons, and was first released in August 2020 as a Nintendo Switch timed exclusive. After her younger brother Golu is kidnapped by demons led by the evil Mahabalasura, she must embark on a journey to retrieve him. Because of her strong will and courage, the deities Durga and Vishnu choose her to wield mystical weapons and bring justice to the wicked.

The game is an isometric action-adventure in which the girl traverses many picturesque dungeons while platforming across pillars and chasms. This journey is also dangerous because of the forces of evil that try to stop her. With an arsenal of holy weapons and a skill tree at her disposal, she can show her unbreakable resolve in fast-paced hack and slash combat against a variety of enemy types and bosses.

The platforming and combat action is interspersed with pockets of storytelling in which the two gods narrate various tales from Hindu folklore using beautifully painted murals. This is undoubtedly the game’s high point, and it piqued the interest of audiences unfamiliar with the setting.
