Previously in Episode 17

The last episode picks up right where the last one left off, in episode 16, with Taratectora attempting to use his arm cannon to ward off Chris’s sword assault. Tartectora is lucky to only sustain a slight injury because of Olto Zora. Then Ragna leans in and seizes the weapon. Now we switch to Shin, who awakens within a bubble that looks like water. Then we’ll see what occurs next.

From inside the bubble, Shin watches Ragna. Ragna seizes the sword and unleashes his devastating “Hunting Flash” assault on Taratectora. From a distance, Zora watches the transaction. The thought that Taratectora might have died in the assault haunts him. Nevertheless, Taratectora informs Zora that he detonated himself in order to evade Ragna’s assault in the blink of an eye. His death is imminent as a result.

Zora feels responsible for misleading Taratectora, but Taratectora reassures him that it is not a big deal. He also thinks they should put their energy into formulating a plan to win this mini-war with Starlia. Taratectora and Zora both have connections to Princess Lakucia, as we learn in his human flashback.
