The 60th chapter of Pure Villains opened with a brief flashback that dealt with the history of a pivotal character. The series’ lore relies heavily on characters whose acts have consequences for both the heroes and the antagonists, but this instance focused on the latter. The scene shifts to the female protagonist, where the male protagonist is currently laying his head on her shoulder. They are having some alone time till the male lead can ask her whether what she said earlier meant what he took it to mean. The question takes our protagonist by surprise, and she is at a loss for an honest response. The grandmother crashes the party like a monster from a horror movie, forcing the male protagonist out of the room. The MC’s grandmother then gives her a lesson about maintaining emotional distance from the center of attention. The female protagonist has a moment of shame, but her grandmother’s speech quickly restores her confidence.
