The 25th season of the Pokémon anime, also known as Pokémon Journeys: The Series, consists of 48 episodes in its localized title. Netflix released the third batch of episodes, titled Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, on October 21, 2021.

On January 13, Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master, a set of 11 special episodes marking the end of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, debuted in Japan. The anime series was considered the “final chapter” of Ash and Pikachu’s adventures.

What is the storyline of the new anime?

The latest installment in the Pokémon anime franchise, titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series in English, made its debut on April 14 with a special one-hour premiere episode. The show follows a Friday airing schedule at 6:55 p.m. While the English press release from The Pokémon Company had initially mentioned a 2023 release date “and beyond,” it seems the series has already started airing in Japan.

In Pokémon Horizons: The Series, the story centers around a fresh duo of main characters named Liko and Roy, who take the lead as protagonists.
