The fandom is hyped for My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 2 which will be out soon. “In the Nick of Time! A Big-Time Maverick from the West” was the title of the pilot episode that introduced Star and Stripe, the enigmatic heroes hinted at in the season 6 title. This American superpower didn’t spend any time facing off against Tomura Shigaraki, the series’ antagonist and possessed by the villain All for One.

The episode also explored why Star and Stripe decided to cross the ocean and fight in Japan. Even more intriguing, we had a glimpse of her extraordinarily potent quirk, which may have far-reaching consequences.

Opening on a somber note, a bruised Deku considers the road ahead—he must now battle formidable foes like Shigaraki and All For One, and killing Shigaraki isn’t exactly Deku’s idea of a good time, even if he knows it’s his only chance for survival.

Still, with the encouragement of his buddies, Deku musters the strength to keep fighting, all because of Ochaco’s stirring words that rally behind the heroes. He had no idea that the unlikely hero Star and Stripe, America’s most beloved patriot, was on his way to lend a hand!

Quirk

The military squad from Star and Stripe disobeys orders to join in the fight against the Paranormal Liberation Front after seeing the anarchy engulfing Japan. Even though he has been hiding out for a while, All For One notices this right away. He spills the beans on his scheme to acquire Star’s remarkable “New Order” quirk—the key to reality rewriting and absolute dominance—by stealing it. Since Star is the strongest woman in the world, he says that stealing her quirk will almost ensure his victory.

Shigaraki ambushes Star and Stripe while Endeavor’s crew tries to rendezvous with her on his flying Nomu horse. They get into a violent altercation fast, which gives Star the chance to demonstrate how severely flawed her reality-overwriting quirk is. She can give objects new characteristics and rules only by touching them or saying their name. In essence, it’s “Reality Warping” with some checks and balances added in.
