Fans of Pokemon Go are criticizing Niantic, the game’s developer, for a recent issue where users who deleted their Peridot account were unable to access their other accounts. Niantic, the developer of the popular mobile game Pokemon Go, also creates various other games that some of its fans may not be familiar with.

A lesser-known fact for some Pokemon Go enthusiasts is that Niantic, the game’s developer, has several other games under their belt, including Ingress, Pikmin Bloom, and Peridot. By linking all of their Niantic game accounts under one name, players can conveniently access all their profiles in one place.

A number of Pokemon Go players have recently reported encountering issues when attempting to sign in to their game after deleting their account on Niantic’s other mobile game, Peridot. This unexpected problem seems to have arisen due to the consolidation of multiple Niantic game profiles under a single unified account, causing some confusion and frustration for players.

Pokemon Go players upset over account deletions issues

Several social media posts have gained traction as players report being unable to log in to Pokemon Go following the deletion of their account on Niantic’s other mobile game, Peridot.

A potential culprit for this problem is Niantic’s system for unified accounts. When players create an account for other Niantic games, they have the option to link their accounts by using the same email and Niantic ID. This linking process may be what’s causing the issue for players who deleted their account in Peridot.

In other words, the unified account system allows for seamless integration of features across different Niantic games, including the sharing of friends and email addresses. However, this also means that deleting an account in one game can render the associated email address unusable for other Niantic games in the future.

Is Niantic misleading fans with wrong information?

Niantic has been accused by Pokemon Go fans of providing misleading information regarding the issue. The Pokemon Go Hub Twitter account reported that Niantic has denied the problem, labeling the players’ claims as “misinformation,” and has launched an investigation. This response has received backlash from the fans.

While Niantic has not issued an official statement on the matter, it remains unclear what is really happening with the account situation. For those who want to play both Pokemon Go and Peridot, it is advisable to be cautious about linking their accounts to both games.
