For first-time Overwatch 2 players, jumping straight into the action with default settings might be common. However, since each player has their own style of playing, they can benefit from adjusting the controller settings as per their playstyle. Once their settings are optimized, they will start feeling more comfortable while playing the popular shooter.

Personal preferences are very crucial when adjusting the settings, and it is not easy to declare a certain set of settings as the best. Veteran players spend hours and hours fine-tuning their controller settings. Players can take inspiration from their settings and adjust them as per their play style.

Best Overwatch 2 controller settings

  • Horizontal Sensitivity: 42
  • Vertical Sensitivity: 42
  • Aim Assist Strength: 96

Players who have great aim should still turn on aim assist. This will enable them to take advantage of the feature more, and once they get used to it, they will be able to make use of it more efficiently.

  • Aim Assist Window Size: 70
  • Aim Assist Legacy Mode: Off
  • Aim Assist Ease In: 20
  • Aim Smoothing: 0
  • Aim Ease In: 20

Players will easily notice when the aim assist comes into the equation. Players will witness a quick shift in their aim and it might feel unnatural at first. Aim Ease In makes that transition smooth, and players can ramp it up further if they want to get rid of that snappy feeling that happens when aim assist kicks in.

  • Invert Vertical Look: Off
  • Invert Horizontal Look: Off
  • Vibration: Off

The vibration effect enhances the gaming experience in intense in-game scenarios. However, it’s mostly a distraction during competitive games. The vibration effect can sometimes cause players to miss an important shot. Keeping it off is great for competitive play.

  • Switch Movement and Look Sticks: Off
  • Legacy Sticks: Off
  • Aim Technique: Linear Ramp

Gyro settings

Only Nintendo Switch and controllers that have motion sensors support the gyro in Overwatch 2. While several players make use of this feature to perform small adjustments while aiming, others could maximize it to experience a completely different aiming.

  • Invert Gyro-Aiming Pitch Axis: Off
  • Invert Gyro-Aiming YAW Axis: Off
  • Invert Gyro-Aiming Roll Axis: Off
  • Gyro-Aiming Pitch Axis Sensitivity: 8
  • Gyro-Aiming YAW Axis Sensitivity: 0
  • Gyro-Aiming ROLL Axis Sensitivity: 12
  • Disable Gyro While Using Stick: On
