The first Prince of Etnal, Ren, travels with 5000 soldiers to the Fortress city of Patrian in the previous chapter of Overgeared. Earl Ashur is informed by Prince Ren that the King has only a short time left and that his death will result in chaos for Etnal. Prince Ren adds that he thinks Duke Greed will pose an even greater threat to the stability. Prince Ren informs Earl Ashur that his goal is to catch and vanquish Duke Greed.
