One Piece, Spy x Family make it to NYT May Bestseller List

The latest edition of The New York Times' monthly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list for May features three manga volumes that have made it to the ranking.

The latest edition of The New York Times’ monthly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list for May features three manga volumes that have made it to the ranking. The titles that made it to the list this month are: Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece volume 102 at #7, Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 volume 6 at #8, and Tatsuya Endō’s SPY x FAMILY volume 9 at #13.

In April, the manga series SPY x FAMILY by Tatsuya Endō reached an impressive #3 on The New York Times’ monthly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list. Other manga series that made the list that month were Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen volume 19 at #6, Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 33 at #9, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man volume 1 at #12, and Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 1 at #15.

The Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list has been a part of The New York Times’ current bestseller lists since October 2019, when the newspaper released its first updated version.

Viz Media launches Do Retry manga in English

According to a tweet from Viz Media’s Shonen Jump service, the English version of Jun Kirarazaka’s latest manga, Do Retry, will be available starting on Sunday. The manga tells the story of a resilient orphan who refuses to be defeated by the challenges life throws at them.

Do Retry is set to make its debut in the 23rd edition of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, which is scheduled to release on May 8 of this year. Kirarazaka previously serialized the Bone Collection manga in Weekly Shonen Jump from April to August 2020, and published a one-shot with the same title in August 2019.

Deranged Detective Manga part 1 concluded

Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and the app have concluded the first installment of Akira Amano’s Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective manga with the publication of the 96th chapter on Sunday. Following the end of the first part, the website confirmed that the manga will be put on hold until June 4, when the second part of the manga will begin.

In October 2020, Akira Amano began serializing Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective (Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri) on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app. Shueisha published the manga’s 10th compiled volume on April 4. Manga Plus releases the English version of the manga. The company describes the story as follows:
