At the beginning of this chapter, Yoosung asks Jihye why she thinks Dokja is so unattractive. Because Jihye has always maintained that Dokja is ugly, but has never given the matter any attention, she often finds herself lost in thinking. She improvises an answer, saying that Dokja’s face is strange and that his features are misaligned, before beginning to doubt her own statement.

After much deliberation, Jihye concludes that he is not her type and drops the subject. Yoosung claims that Jihye sobbed a lot for someone who isn’t her type, but Jihye counters that it was all an act to earn cash from the Constellations.

Certain Constellations begin to doubt Jihye’s veracity and begin interrogating her about it. A notice appears, reminding Jihye that just one minute remains before the mana barrier collapses. Jihye has Yoosung hide Gilyoung in his arms until she gives the signal to run. After putting her trust in Yoosung, she draws her sword and prepares to do battle with the monsters.

While Jihye battles the creatures, Yoosung flees to find assistance. Jihye, sadly, proves to be no match for the Dark Castle’s monsters, and she ultimately loses. A brilliant flash of light appears in the sky as Jihye is about to meet her end, slashing down the creatures surrounding her.

In that brief moment of illumination, Jihye saw a person, but her vision blurred and she was unable to identify him. After much effort, Jihye realizes that it is, in fact, Dokja. As she studies his features, she can’t help but wonder if he’s always been so handsome. After a while, Jihye regains consciousness after Dokja has taken her to a secure location. Jihye then asks Dokja if the earlier communication was about him, and Dokja confirms that it was.
