Eris is recognized by the man, North Emperor, who calls her “crazy dog.” The North Emperor and the sword god praise Eris’s fighting prowess as she collapses to the ground and sobs at her frailty. Ghislaine storms in, shouting at the sword god for failing to impart any knowledge to Eris.
Eris must overcome her own sense of reason in order to defeat Orsted because the latter is invulnerable to it. He introduces her to the North Emperor Auber Corvette and informs her that Eris would be receiving training from him at this time because he is skilled in the Northern style that Orsted employs. In order to teach Eris, he also informs the water deity, and this information helps Ghislaine relax a little. Ghislaine salutes the Northern Emperor and acknowledges the sword god’s techniques of instruction. She declares that Eris will become significantly more important and win the approval of the Northern Emperor in a year since she is pleased that her master has nice intentions for her.
