A wave of enthusiasm for the games ishes over the apostle community as a result of the trio’s triumph over the unbreakable deity in the prior episode. When they reach Mal-ra, the Sacred Spring City, they meet Dax Gear Scimitar, a rookie apostle with high ranks who is anxious to recruit Fay. Episode 5 of Gods’ Game We Play features Dax’s continuous persistence while Fay refuses to join him. Nel Reckless, an apostle with ambitions to become Fay’s deputy, later greets them. The three friends are suspicious of Nel at first, but they eventually warm up to her after learning about her history as an apostle who had to retire since her teammates betrayed her in a game.
