New Pokemon anime: New lead characters revealed

The Pokémon Company has announced two new characters for the new anime that will soon embrace the Pokémon franchise. The new characters are named Friede and Captain Pikachu, and they are a Pokemon professor and Pokemon partner duo who will be taking on enemies alongside protagonists Liko and Roy.

The Pokemon Company’s International Taito Okiura also said that Pikachu will “continue to have a significant presence in the animated series and remain an icon for the brand.”

The new anime will make its debut on April 14 and will air on Fridays at 6:55 PM. The Pokemon Company previously mentioned in its English press release that the anime will premiere in 2023 “and beyond.”

The anime will also have Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet video games. The anime will also see appearances from the Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza in its Shiny form.

Pocket Monster Mezase Pokemon Master, a 11 special episode collection to finish off Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, was released on January 13 in Japan. The Series will be the “final chapter” for Ash and Pikachu.

Crayon Shin-chan 3D CG Anime also teased

The official Twitter account for Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie Chonoryoku Dai Kessen: Tobetobe Temakizushi, which is the Crayon Shin-chan franchise’s maiden 3DCG anime film, has released a trailer for the film.

The trailer highlights videos from the project’s original pilot film and previews the story where the title kindergartener, Shin-chan, gains superpower. The trailer also reveals that the film will be released on August 4. The tagline on the visual says, Saying stuff like ‘There’s no future for this country’ … that’s a myth of grown-ups.”

The film will be the 31st entry in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, and it took seven years to make from the planning stages. Hitoshi One will be at the helm to direct as well as write the screenplay for the film. Besides, Shirogumi Inc. Will be taking care of the animation of the film.

The 30th film in the franchise, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden, was released in April last year in Japan and became the #2 in its first weekend.
