On Friday, the staff for the anime adaptation of Miku and Rein Kuwashima’s light novel series, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World, unveiled two new visuals for the upcoming show. Alongside this announcement, it was revealed that a new browser game titled Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru – Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta: Parallel Universe, will be releasing on the G123 platform in four languages, including Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. The MMORPG game is set in a parallel universe and will offer players the chance to experience a virtual world where they can level up and obtain cheat skills like the protagonist of the light novel series. The game will be free to play, but players will have the option to purchase in-game items.

The game’s worldwide release will allow fans from all over the globe to experience the franchise’s immersive universe and become part of the story.

TMS’s UNLIMITED PRODUCE is both planning and producing the upcoming anime adaptation of Miku and Rein Kuwashima’s light novel series, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World, set to premiere on April 6. The animation will be produced by Millepensee, with Shingo Tanabe directing the series, and Hiromi Kimura adapting the characters for animation based on Rein Kuwashima’s original designs. Akiyuki Tateyama is composing the music, while Tsukuyomi will perform the opening theme song “Gyakuten Geki” (Turnabout Drama).

Chief director Shin Itagaki, known for his work on the Teekyū franchise and So I’m a Spider, So What?, is also overseeing the series scripts. Shingo Tanabe, who has worked as an episode director for So I’m a Spider, So What? and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, will direct the anime. With such a talented team of creators behind the project, fans can expect an exciting and visually stunning adaptation of the popular light novel series.

The light book and manga adaptation are being published in English by Yen Press, and it gives the following synopsis of the plot:

A boy who has been the victim of severe bullying all his life discovers a door to another world. This alternate reality offers him cheat skills and a portal that enables him to travel between both worlds. With access to these abilities, can this downtrodden student transform his life for the better back in the real world?

The book series has a global circulation of 2 million copies, with the 12th volume released in Japan on December 20th. Meanwhile, the manga’s fourth volume was shipped on December 26th.
