Miyo Saimori, an ordinary young lady whose stepmother’s wrathful insistence on her service during the Meiji Restoration drives the plot. When Miyo discovers that her future spouse is Kiyoka Kudou, all of her aspirations for freedom quickly crumble. A captain is so icy and harsh that he has scared off potential wives in the past.
After falling into poverty and despair, Miyo accepts her fate grudgingly, only to be shocked when she meets her future spouse. Miyo and Kiyoka’s shortcomings and the realization that their initial assumptions were wrong become more apparent as their voyage progresses. Throughout their exciting adventure, the pair engages in positive interactions that put their shared values and anxieties to the test. They’re inseparable because they both want to find love and happiness.

Episode 5 of “My Happy Marriage” returns to its intricate pattern of feelings, connections, and twists. As the show progresses, the audience anticipates new information at every turn. At the start of the performance, Kiyoka gives Miyo a beautiful pink kimono. Miyo’s act is more than just symbolic because it reminds her of her late mother. Miyo is setting the mood for a heartfelt act of gratitude as she throws a modest dinner party.
Godo’s humorous remark, in which he urges Miyo to reevaluate her feelings, serves to emphasize the sweetness of their moment together. But Miyo gives an honest response to the fun banter, proving her devotion to her current fiance.
An unexpected marriage proposal that Tastuishi is preparing at the same time convinces Kaya to marry Kiyoka. He has all the charisma of Kiyoka and the obvious happiness of Miyo, so much so that Kaya is considering proposing to him.
The growing romance is more difficult because of the difficulties he has with his family. Miyo’s caring personality shines through in a little but meaningful way when she offers to bring Kiyoka’s lunch to the office.
