Muse Asia to Stream "I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World" Anime in India

Muse Asia, the popular anime streaming channel, has announced that it will be simulcasting the anime adaptation of the popular light novel series “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” in India and other countries. The anime is set to premiere on April 6th, and Muse Asia will stream an episode of the show every Tuesday at 12:00 a.m. IST.

The anime will be available in countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Pakistan. Muse Asia has also announced that the show will be available in Indonesia and Thailand at a later date.

The Story

“I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” is a life-reversal fantasy that revolves around Yuya Tenjo, a boy who has been bullied his entire life. One day, Yuya finds a “door to another world” and gains cheat-level abilities, which allow him to become unrivaled in both the real and fantasy worlds. As Yuya levels up in the other world, his real-world abilities also begin to improve.

Production Team

The anime adaptation is being produced by UNLIMITED PRODUCE and animated by Millepensee. The chief director of the show is Shin Itagaki, who has also overseen the series’ scripts. The show is directed by Shingo Tanabe, with Hiromi Kimura adapting the characters for animation from Rein Kuwashima’s original designs. The music for the show is composed by Akiyuki Tateyama, and the opening theme song, “Gyakuten Geki” (Turnabout Drama), is performed by Tsukuyomi.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka stars as Yuya Tenjo, with Akari Kitō as Kaori Hojō, Kaori Maeda as Lexia Von Arcelia, Sayaka Senbongi as Miu Midō, Ayana Taketatsu as Kaede Kazama, Shizuka Ishigami as Yukine Hyōdō, Mai Nakahara as Rin Kanzaki, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ryō Igarashi, Ayumu Murase as Shingo Kurata, Ai Kakuma as Luna, Rina Hidaka as Yuty, Nao Tōyama as Night, Kazuhiko Inoue as Usagi, and Yuka Iguchi as Akatsuki.

Manga and Light Novel

“I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” has a massive following and has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The 12th light novel was released in Japan on December 20, and the manga’s fourth volume was shipped on December 26. The manga and light novels are published in English by Yen Press.

Browser Game

In addition to the anime adaptation, “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” is also getting a browser game titled “Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru – Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta: Parallel Universe.” The MMORPG will be released worldwide in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean on the G123 platform. The game will be free to play but will have optional in-game purchases.
