After months of speculation and anticipation, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was finally released in October 2022. And, with Microsoft soon taking over Activision Blizzard, players are wondering if Modern Warfare 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass. We are here to answer all your questions.
The digital gaming landscape isn’t an easy place to keep up with and Xbox Game Pass’ rotating games is nothing new. Microsoft’s potential buyout of Activision Blizzard doesn’t make things easy either, as things will only continue to get unclear when speaking of Call of Duty games.
While the popular franchise has a long-running deal with PlayStation to bring new content to Sony’s platform first, will MW2 ever make its way onto Xbox Game pass?
Sadly, the game will not be making its way to Xbox Game Pass. Both Activision Blizzard and Modern Warfare 2 have a marketing partnership with PlayStation and there seem to be no plans for that to change. However, there’s no word if it will end up being on Xbox Game Pass sometime in the future. But it will not be coming to the service in the near future.
This is probably the last renewal of this partnership, and if the Microsoft purchase moves forward, which would leave a lot of room for the Xbox leads to tap in on the popularity of Game Pass to crack a special deal in the coming days.
