Taiyo Asano is terrified for Mutsumi’s safety when he wakes up from a nightmare. He seeks out Futaba Yozakura’s assistance in strengthening himself so he can protect her. Despite Taiyo’s sincere pleading, Futaba firmly reminds him that it is not possible to obtain powers quickly as a non-Yozakura. She opens up about the three years she spent practicing in Aikido and Jujitsu. After much persuasion, Futaba agrees to assist Taiyo—but only if he agrees to spend a month at the Yozakura estate undergoing fake training.
When Taiyo gets to the mansion, he finds a plethora of spy-training traps set up to put him to the test. He sets aside the problems and resolves to suffer through the monotony of life at the Yozakura estate so that he can protect Mutsumi. On the other hand, he starts to question his strength and ability. To reassure Taiyo of his strength, Mutsumi brings up the times he had defended her in Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 3.
Taiyo becomes sick from overwork and fatigue as his pretend training comes to a close. It turns out that despite Futaba’s warnings, Kengo, Nanao, and others had been helping him cover up his wounds. As a result of Taiyo’s altruism and resolve, Futaba begins to think he could be the ideal guardian for Mutsumi.
