The popular manga series The Vampire Dies in No Time (Kyketsuki Sugu Shinu) author Itaru Bonnoki has stated that he will be taking a sabbatical from the series to concentrate on his health. On Wednesday, Bonnoki tweeted that he would take a break from performing until his stomach had recovered and he was healthy enough to eat a Burger King Whopper. From March 30 to April 27, the Vampire Dies in No Time manga was suspended; it will return on May 11. The manga’s planned return to serialisation is still up in the air, though. Three gaps occurred in the manga last year, some of which were brought on by Bonnoki’s health problems. Manga Creator Itaru Bonnoki Takes a Hiatus from The Vampire Dies in No Time Manga.

Bonnoki, along with Nata Ōkura, recently launched the manga adaptation of Xemono’s game, Needy Streamer Overload, titled Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick, on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website on March 21. There are no announcements yet on whether this manga will also go on hiatus following Bonnoki’s announcement. The Vampire Dies in No Time manga was first serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion in June 2015. Akita Shoten is set to publish the 25th compiled book volume of the manga on May 8. The anime adaptation of the manga’s first season premiered in Japan in October 2021, with 12 episodes. The second season premiered on January 9 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

Apart from the anime adaptation, the manga also inspired a “hyper casual game” app, temporarily titled Sugu Shinu! (Die Instantly!), which is set to be released for iOS and Android in 2023, with an English version also in the works. The manga has gained popularity due to its unique take on the vampire genre and its comedic elements. The story follows the adventures of a vampire who dies easily and his encounters with other supernatural beings.

Despite the hiatus, the manga is still set to release its 25th volume on May 8. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the series, and many have taken to social media to express their support for Bonnoki and their hopes for his speedy recovery.

Bonnoki’s work on the Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick manga, which he co-created with Nata Ōkura, has also gained attention from fans. The manga is based on the popular game, Needy Streamer Overload, and follows the story of a girl who becomes a successful streamer but soon finds herself in a world of danger.

With Bonnoki’s hiatus, it remains to be seen if the serialization of Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick manga will also be affected. Fans are hoping that both of Bonnoki’s works will continue to bring joy and entertainment to readers and viewers alike. Itaru Bonnoki’s announcement of his hiatus has caused concern among fans of The Vampire Dies in No Time manga.
