At the start of Chapter 445, Senior Kupeng demonstrates and explains several Arrays to Zhuo. Kupeng, captivated by the Arrays’ beauty, tasks Zhuo with locating the other hotspots of oncoming disaster so that he might rescue the other elderly people.
Kupeng asks Young Sanzi to stay with him so that he may teach him everything he knows; Young Sanzi has been in the wilderness for 300 years without a mentor and can’t even harness the power of his sacred beast without instruction.
Before Sanzi, a young man, and Zhuo part ways, they have a short talk in which Zhuo explains why he does not fully trust Kupeng and makes Sanzi aware of Kupeng’s ulterior goals. As the son of a Sacred Beast, Zhuo reminds him that sticking close to Kupeng is to everyone’s benefit because Kupeng is the leader of the Five Sacred Beasts.
Kupeng’s ambitions with the Heavenly Emperor and the limitations of his authority outside the Allbeast Mountain range were among the details Zhuo revealed before the two men went their separate ways.
Zhuo and his brother reunite after being apart; the latter is concerned that Zhuo has been harassed from every front. But after talking to their sister Shuang’er, he realizes that Zhou is behind everything.
Elder Li tells him that the number of mines is finite, and that the objective has gotten more difficult since Zhuo is now the Empire’s most sought man, yet they nevertheless dig for another thousand miles. Zhuo is now concentrating on completing the conquest of the territories, using the wealth of knowledge and resources at his disposal.
