Akane decides to have a makeover to ensure Takuma notices her at the event. However, her plan backfires when she trips and falls, and the only person to help her up is Yamada. Takuma is a huge Yamada fan, so Akane bribes him with a rare game item to pretend to be her new boyfriend. This makes Takuma jealous, but he is soon cheered up by Eri, leaving Akane feeling unsatisfied and miserable.
Akane and Yamada have a conversation over drinks, and she learns that he is a famous pro-gamer who gets sponsorships to play in official competitions. She also discovers that he is uninterested in dating. Despite his cold and distant personality, Yamada surprises Akane by buying band-aids for her scratched ankle.
