Three of the Los Angeles Guerrillas’ four starting players from the previous season will not be exercising their team options, the Call of Duty team announced today. The Call of Duty League will grant unrestricted free agency to Assault, Exceed, and JoeDeceives. The team also released Arian and Mayhem from its coaching staff, leaving Arcitys as the sole starting player still on the roster.

One of the worst teams in the CDL this season, the Guerrillas placed 11th out of 12 teams and failed to advance to the postseason. The team placed seventh or eighth at Major II, earning just $10,000 in season-long prizes.

Since the start of the CDL, roster mania’s fundamental premise has remained the same. Players are typically on what is known as a “1+1” when they are signed by an organization. This means that they are a member of the team for a full year, at which point, exactly one week after the championship, the team can decide to keep the player for the upcoming season or release them.
We refer to their contract as being under “Team Option” in this instance. A player’s ability to sign new contracts as a “Free Agent” begins precisely 7 days after the CDL deadline if a team does not extend the player’s contract.
The former FaZe star and world champion Arcitys will probably be in charge of rounding up three players to accompany him to Los Angeles, and he has a wide range of talent to choose from.
