League of Legends, like last year, will most likely hold a small event to commemorate 2022 Pride Month. The rewards for the same have been announced, but the event has yet to be announced. After completing a few missions in the game, the rewards for Pride Events are always given away for free. This includes emotes, blue essence, and other things. The rewards for this year’s Pride Event are now available for testing in the Public Beta Environment (PBE). Before the release, the developers will listen to feedback and make any necessary changes.

Everything League of Legends fans need to know regarding the Pride Event 2022

The League of Legends Pride Event 2021 took place between May 17 and June 30, 2021. However, the current Pride Event rewards are in the PBE, implying that the expected release date is alongside patch 12.10. This will take place on or around May 25, 2022. The deadline will be extended until the end of June 2022. Players should complete a few missions during this time (unless League of Legends makes a few changes). Completing these missions will grant the players free access to all of the rewards. Last year’s rewards included Pride Emotes, a Pride Icon, and an emote with Leona and Diana.

Twisted Fate and Graves are this year’s featured champions for Pride Month, and two emotes featuring them are available in the PBE. Along with this, players in League of Legends can obtain icons to commemorate 2022 Pride Month.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising in the United States in 1969. It was a watershed moment in the Gay Liberation movement and a watershed moment for the LGBTQIA+ community. Every year, millions of people commemorate this day to remember those who died fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights. As a result, League of Legends and Riot Games participate in the same because a large portion of their fanbase is part of the aforementioned community. Riot Games’ celebration began in 2018, and this will be the fifth year that the company will participate. Previously, the company sold Pride-themed merchandise as part of a fundraiser initiative, but it is unclear whether that will happen again this year.
