Last season's strongest weapon for Apex has now been replaced by one of its weakest ones unless you're lucky

Of course, obtaining a blue or purple magazine attachment can fix the R-99's new weakness, but in these Season 18 days, that's not exactly a simple task. This update reduced the spawn rates for both rarities of attachments, thus getting an extended mag will now require even more good luck with the RNG gods.

Apex Legends currently includes two weapons that, even if you land all body shots, cannot take down someone wearing a red shield as a result of the modifications brought about by Season 18 and Revenant’s resurrection. The R-99 submachine gun and the RE-45 machine pistol are the only weapons that cannot take down a player in one magazine with body shots if they have full health and red shields, thanks to their reduced base clips, according to a Reddit user u/Ninjafish_TTV who posted this “worthless piece of trivia” on the Apex subreddit on August 8.

“So, Wasnt worth to post before this season, but since they reduced the mag of R9 i think it might be a cool worthless piece of trivia to know,” they wrote in the post. “Out of ALL the weapons in apex(exclude throwing knife), The RE-45 was the only weapon that couldnt down a red-shield player if you hit all body shots. But with the mag change now the r9 doesnt too.”

This nerf might be painful given that the R-99 has consistently been among the best weapons in the game over the past few seasons, with ALGS pros liking it for most of Split Two pro league. lovers of SMGs will have to change how they play with them nonetheless, or they may decide to switch to gaining a better gun. Sadly, the entire weapon class was somewhat nerfed in this update, which is bad news for SMG lovers.

It’s the first time we’ve ever seen care packages utilized “offensively” in a video game. My primary experience is from the video game Call of Duty, where a rare kill—or, to be quite honest, death—occurs when the Little Bird chopper drops a gift package on someone’s head. At the same time, we advise against attempting this at home. Let professionals like ToxicScience handle it.
