Who needs firearms? A clever Apex player utilizes care packages to trap the opposing team

But that was the only thing the Lifeline had. The ultimate care package. However, the Lifeline dropped it on the doorway rather than using it to prepare, and a second Care Package blocked the other exit.

We’ve heard of players using care packages offensively in other games, but according to a funny Aug. 12 Reddit clip, one Apex Legends player has demonstrated Lifeline’s support ultimate can win fights on its own. As players return to Apex after the season 18 launch on August 8, you and your squad should exercise caution when entering buildings with few exits, as you never know when a pesky Lifeline main could summon a massive drop pod and imprison you inside.

It wasn’t easy, and it requires a specific setting that, in all honesty, is unlikely to happen again. But it appears that Reddit user ToxicScience_ has you covered if you want to check out the Legend or if you’re a Lifeline main seeking an innovative strategy to defeat an entire opposition squad.

The Lifeline maintained their composure while sitting on a cliff above the building that the squad had fled inside while lacking a weapon or ammunition and with a complete enemy squad coming down on them. The Lifeline was absolutely empty—it had no weapons, ammunition, or grenades—after a few Arc Stars were thrown to keep the group on their toes.

But that was the only thing the Lifeline had. The ultimate care package. However, the Lifeline dropped it on the doorway rather than using it to prepare, and a second Care Package blocked the other exit. The team was entirely stuck with the bundles blocking both doorways and no option to escape through the windows.

The squad remained within the modest structure while our wonderful protagonist was shot to death while surveying their accomplishment. There simply wasn’t enough room for the Pathfinder to launch a Zip Line, despite his best efforts. Even worse, a Respawn Beacon was located a few meters from the doorway, almost mocking the other squad. The squad was eventually taken by the almighty ring while ToxicScience_ watched from the afterlife.

A large number of people flocked to the post to chuckle at the situation, and others came up with ideas for how to get out of it.To get the squad out, one player suggested deploying thermite grenades and numerous Mobile Respawn Beacons; however, the idea that “pubs” would care enough to carry the mobile beacons was just laughed at by the responders. It was mentioned by others that Ash and Loba have the equipment needed to get out of this trap.

It’s the first time we’ve ever seen care packages utilized “offensively” in a video game. My primary experience is from the video game Call of Duty, where a rare kill—or, to be quite honest, death—occurs when the Little Bird chopper drops a gift package on someone’s head. At the same time, we advise against attempting this at home. Let professionals like ToxicScience handle it.
