Reports suggest that Krafton, the developers of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), have issued a warning to third-party tournament organizers to halt their unofficial BGMI tournaments. The news came to light when an email allegedly from Krafton’s Esports team surfaced online, and was later confirmed by Lokesh “Goldy” Jain, co-owner of S8UL Esports. While there was some initial confusion over whether players were also prohibited from streaming the game, Goldy and Sid clarified that streaming was still permitted. It remains unclear why Krafton has taken this step, and whether it plans to organize its own official tournaments in the future.

There will be no more BGMI unauthorized competitions going forward

An email allegedly sent by Krafton’s Esports Team to a third-party tournament (TPT) organizer, Angry Panda Esports, has surfaced online. The email reportedly stated that the ongoing tournament dates were not approved by Krafton and must be stopped immediately. It also warned that failure to comply could have repercussions for the organizer’s future tournaments.

Goldy, co-owner of S8UL Esports, confirmed that his organization had also received a notice from Krafton to stop streaming BGMI. “Krafton told TOs to immediately halt… Krafton also told us that all streams should be closed with immediate effect. Nobody will stream,” he stated. Goldy also clarified that there was initially some miscommunication between his organization and Krafton officials, as players were later confirmed to be allowed to stream the game.

It is unclear why Krafton has taken such a strict stance against third-party tournaments and the streaming of BGMI. Some speculate that the company may be planning to organize its own official tournaments in the future and wants to prevent any competition from unofficial events. Others believe that Krafton may be taking measures to crack down on cheating and other illicit activities that could harm the game’s reputation. Whatever the reason, the move has caused concern among the BGMI community and has left many wondering about the future of the game’s esports scene.

In an unexpected turn of events, Krafton has warned third-party tournament organizers to halt their Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) events. The news came to light after an official email from Krafton’s Esports team to a third-party tournament organizer, Angry Panda Esports, was leaked online. The email stated that the dates of the ongoing tournament were not approved by Krafton and requested that the tournament be stopped immediately. It also warned that failure to comply could result in repercussions for the organizer’s future tournaments.

S8UL Esports’ co-owner, Goldy, confirmed that the organization had received a similar notice from Krafton and that streaming BGMI was not allowed. However, he later clarified that there was a misunderstanding and miscommunication with Krafton officials, and only third-party tournaments for BGMI were not allowed. Players and streamers could continue to stream classic matches.

S8UL Esports’ manager, Sid, also stated that their BGMI players would resume streaming, but they would only play classic matches. Unfortunately, Krafton has not provided any explanation for its sudden decision to halt third-party tournaments for BGMI. It remains to be seen what Krafton has in store for BGMI, and fans are eager to know the reason behind this decision. Meanwhile, players and organizers are left in a state of uncertainty, awaiting further updates from Krafton.
