The stalker falsely assumed that Sarang liked him just because she was overly nice to him as a waiter. He had no idea that she was merely playing the part of a waitress in accordance with the policies of the cafe where she worked.
The stalker was acting appropriately when he requested her number, apparently believing that Sarang had feelings for him. Despite Sarang’s best efforts to dispel his confusion, he persists in trying to get her phone number anyhow. Sarang used the ace in the hole she had by telling her that he just wasn’t her type.

They are having their conversation in a narrow alleyway, where Sarang is unprotected. The last line of the chapter left readers of King of the Land hanging for an entire week. Who will step up to be the hero and save her from the stalker?
You’d be foolish to assume that Gu Won will make his grand entry by coming to Sarang’s rescue at this point. There is still a chance that someone other than Gu Won will come to her rescue. In fact, he is the same military person from Chapter 12. Since we just met him, it makes perfect sense for him to be the hero who rescues Sarang. The stalker would likely flee at the sight of him as well, as he comes across as a rugged individual. He could be a minor player in the plot.
Since the writer wouldn’t waste half a chapter on him if he only had a cameo in the full book. Sarang and Gu Won will not be able to meet at this time. We think they might run into each other now that Sarang works at a café and Gu Won frequents it.
