It says that nobody has been able to evade Monster #9, therefore his body transforms into fighters from different eras. A plethora of animals encircle Ashiro once again. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to fend them off; the sheer quantity forces her to flee.
Nevertheless, that is equally ineffective. The creatures seize her in an instant, rendering her helpless and preventing her from wielding the weapons. Just as the girl finds a ray of hope and lets go of her grip, a gigantic monster engulfs her.
Thinking about Bakko and everyone who risked their lives to save her makes Ashiro cry. She is beginning to feel her own disintegration as she recalls her vow to Kafka to wait for him. She felt unstoppable when they were little since he was always at her side, but she couldn’t handle anything on her own. Out of nowhere, she sees him in his childhood self, reassuring her that he is always by her side. As he steps outside, Monster #9 discovers he is missing one arm. Up close inspection reveals Kafka holding Vice Commander Ashiro.
