Previously in Chapter 27

After that, a sorcerer who remains anonymous offers his thoughts on the event’s customary farce. Aside from their staff, underworld bosses also attend the gathering, as we discover from his conversation. Having said that, each group is limited to three representatives. Outside, for the sake of patrolling, the other members must remain seated. Protecting those in the subterranean region is the responsibility of the Sazanami family.

Someone sent flyers to all individuals above ground, according to the same sorcerer. He claims in it that the reward for Chihiro’s assassination is fifty million yen. Shortly after Chihiro’s death, the sorcerer and his friend (maybe Shiba) discuss Enten, Chihiro’s enchanted blade, and the payment for his demise. They end their discussion by discussing whether Chihiro is brave enough to show up.

We then follow Yuu, a young boy. He intends to face the wicked forces within the Rakuzaichi Auction Event while costumed as a hero. A guard snatches Yuu and orders him to get out of there. In his defiance, Yuu orders the guard to let his sister go. Is she for sale, the guard wonders. The sentinel and his associates then taunt Yuu, urging him to come back with an enormous sum of money.

Operation

Taking out a knife, Yuu stabs the guard. The guard intends to harm Yuu because he is embarrassed that Yuu tricked him. An unidentified person is also making their way toward the gathering. If it’s not Chihiro, the sorcerers from before would be surprised. Our mystery person’s sorcerer was actually Shiba, as we now know. In his conversation with the sorcerer, he reveals his intention to assist Chihiro.

The story of Yuu’s confrontation with the guards, meantime, continues. He is determined to save his sister under all circumstances. Just in time, Chihiro shows up and sever the guard’s hand, preventing him from harming Yuu. After this, Chihiro assures Yuu, he will handle everything. Chihiro is in the neighborhood, the guard tells the others. Quite a few flashback panels have arrived with us. They show Chihiro and Shiba planning Chihiro’s event infiltration.

The next panel shows Chihiro preparing to use Kure-Gumo Mei, his sword technique. And then the 208th Rakuzaichi Event starts with Kyora. In the last panel of the chapter, we see Chihiro telling Shiba that his operation will start the moment Kyora steps onto the stage, in a flashback panel.
