Match highlights and recap between Talon Esports and HellRaisers

Matches Recap

1st Match

HellRaisers made a critical mistake in game 1 of their series against Talon Esports at the Lima Major 2023, opting for a greedy draft that included a mid-Outworld Destroyer, carry Slark, offlane Magnus, and support Techies. Talon Esports seized on this vulnerability, exerting pressure from the start and securing kills. As the game progressed, the SEA team’s three cores pulled ahead in net worth, and HellRaisers struggled to find space on their heroes. Ultimately, Talon Esports dominated the game, racking up 56 kills en route to a 43-minute victory. Solo, in particular, had a rough outing, dying 18 times and ending the game with just Boots of Speed, Magic Wand, and Force Staff in his inventory.

2nd Match

In game 2, HellRaisers put together a more balanced draft, but Talon Esports still managed to gain an early advantage thanks to Mikoto’s impressive play in the midlane and strong performances from the side lanes. Despite a few strong team fight wins and the acquisition of Aegis on Yuragi, HellRaisers couldn’t stop Talon Esports from farming and obtaining critical item timings. By the late game, all five of Talon’s players had attained key items, making team fights nearly impossible for HellRaisers. Talon Esports ultimately emerged victorious, winning game 2 in 43 minutes.

Talon Esports’ players demonstrated impressive individual performances in both games. Q purchased Echo Sabre and Aghanim’s Scepter for Tiny, while Oli picked up Aghanim’s Scepter and Mask of Madness on Elder Titan. These items allowed Talon Esports to dish out massive damage in team fights and secure critical kills. With their strong showing against HellRaisers, Talon Esports looks poised to continue their run in the Lima Major 2023 and make a strong showing for Southeast Asia on the international stage.
