There was a skirmish, some flashbacks, and some foreshadowing in How to Fight Chapter 191. There are now three battles going on amongst various characters. Hobin is engaging the boss character (obviously), while his two allies deal with the other two that have shown up to help the boss.
As for the battle scene, Hobin tries out some new moves and discovers that his adversary is not human. His assailant had a knife and he knew it, so his first move was to take it away from him. But that wasn’t much use, so he broke off a piece of wood and fashioned a new one.
This caught Hobin off guard, but not so much that he couldn’t handle it. You see, in the previous chapter, he had obtained some direction from someone who could teach him martial arts. Instead of taking Hobin in, the guy challenged him to prove himself if he wanted to become the old man’s student.
In Chapter 192 of How to Fight, we’ll discover how Hobin’s allies are faring against the remaining members of the trio. One of the characters is an expert in martial arts, according to Hobin’s account. His opponent viewed him with a mix of admiration and resentment because of the comments made about his fatherless upbringing.
Someone else will have to deal with the sumo wrestler who nearly defeated Hobin’s guy. The man, however, stood up after a short while and declared that he was not yet through fighting.
