Genshin Impact 2.4 pre-installation: miHoYo reveals date and time

On December 30, 2021, at 19:00 or later, travellers can pre-install the Genshin Impact 2.4 upgrade.

This information was officially released via miHoYo in-game announcements under the heading “Pre-Installation Function Coming…” Travelers are not needed to pre-install the game if they do not like to, although doing so will save them time when Genshin Impact 2.4 is released.

On January 5, 2022, Genshin Impact 2.4 will be released, offering players several days to pre-install numerous of the update’s features. The following are some of the features that gamers may expect in that update:

• Shenhe and Yun Jin as playable characters
• Enkanomiya as a new explorable location
• Lantern Rite event

Method 1 for Pre-Installing Genshin Impact 2.4 (Android & iOS)

For nearly a year, any Genshin Impact update has been pre-installed on Android and iOS devices. In order to accomplish so, players must complete the following tasks:

• To use Genshin Impact, you must first log in.
• Activate the Paimon Menu (the in-game pause screen).
• Select Settings from the drop-down menu (it looks like a gear icon on the left side).
• Select Other.
• Next to Pre-Install Resource Package, click Pre-Install Now.
• If the player’s device has enough space, they should confirm it. Otherwise, they’ll have to make way for the update to Genshin Impact 2.4.

After then, the pre-installation of Genshin Impact 2.4 will begin, and players will have to wait patiently for it to complete. They can resume playing the game anyway they want once it’s over.

Method 2 for Pre-Installing Genshin Impact 2.4

For some players, the second way may be preferred. Start Genshin Impact, but don’t press the “tap to begin” button just yet. Instead, in the bottom left, there should be a cloud-like icon with the caption Pre-Install Resource Package; click on it.

Travelers only have to wait for the pre-installation of Genshin Impact 2.4 to finish, same like previously.

Method 3 for Pre-Installing Genshin Impact 2.4 (PC)

The game launcher on PC should be updated around December 30, 2021, at 19:00. Travelers simply need to update the game launcher and then click on the yellow cloud icon next to Game Pre-Installation.

To the left of the launch button, you’ll see a yellow cloud icon. Travelers should keep in mind that they must wait until December 30, 2021, at 19:00 server time, to begin Pre-Installation, regardless of whatever method they utilise.

They can pre-install Genshin Impact 2.4 on any date between December 30, 2021, and January 5, 2022.
