The fans are excited about the finale, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 28 which will be out soon. Quickly following Frieren and her party’s triumph over the demon king, the anime takes place. After their long journey ends, Frieren’s traveling partner Heiter forces his young human apprentice Fern onto her. Traveling through places Frieren and her friends had been before, Fern and Frieren set off on an adventure. She will reflect on her past inability to develop stronger bonds with her former teammates on this new journey.

Fern pays a visit to Stark in Episode 27 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and confides in him about the minor staff dispute she had with Frieren. Frieren thinks Fern should just buy a new one, but Fern wants him to hire a repairman. In Richter’s shop, Denken, Laufen, and Lawine are speaking after a short encounter with Kanne, Frieren, and Lawine.
Due to his loss in the competition, Richter is slightly enraged and wants Denken to go. Denken encourages Richter not to let this loss break him and assures him that he will get stronger in due time. Laufen and Denken depart from the store. Just seconds after that, Frieren shows up and orders Richter to fix Fern’s staff. Richter tells Fern that Frieren stopped by his shop earlier when Stark and Fern stumble across him later.
Once Fern gets to the inn, she sees that her staff is resting on her bed. On the day of the final exam, all of the participants make their way to the designated testing location. After consulting with the faculty, Serie has agreed to proctor the upcoming test. In addition, she shares her talent and Frieren with a handful of them. Countless characters in the series, from Kanne to Laufen, fail.
Serie assures Frieren that she will give her an opportunity as soon as she walks in. Serie fails Frieren because her response is too predictable when she asks for her favorite spell. They talk about Frieren’s old friends and the Demon King. A flashback involving Himmel, Frieren, and the others follows. It tells the story of Himmel and Frieren’s first encounter.
