The concluding two episodes of the second season are once again being delayed, Level 5’s Megaton-ky Musashi multimedia project announced on Friday on its official website. Episodes 27 and 28 have been put off from March 3 to March 17 and February 24 to March 10, respectively. Instead, February 24 and March 3 will each see the release of Episodes 25 and 26. The staff is still recuperating from the output delays brought on by the spread of COVID-19 in China at the end of last year, Level 5 said in citing COVID-19 once more as the cause. As of right now, the season will conclude on March 17 with episode 28. Due to COVID-19, the final two episodes of Megaton Musashi Season 2 are further delayed.

In order to enhance the episode’s quality, the anime staff had earlier moved up episode 18’s release date from November 4 to November 18. The production timetable for episode 19 was also impacted by the delay of episode 18. The 19th instalment of the anime was postponed until December 2. The final five episodes were then further postponed until February or later by the crew.

The release date of Megaton Musashi X (Cross) for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch was postponed twice, first to December 8 and then to December 16. Since the content of the game is based on anime, the game’s team pointed to the delays in the anime as the cause. The second season of the anime debuted on Tokyo MX on October 7 at 10:00 p.m., followed by airings on BS Fuji and Level 5’s YouTube page. On July 8 on the same networks, the first season’s Special Edition with fresh cuts debuted. The Special Edition’s second season is an extension of it.

The actors and crew are back for the second season

Original character designs are attributed to Takuz Nagano (Ykai Watch), and the characters are animated by Yji Ikeda (Inazuma Eleven). Concepts for the art are attributed to Toshihiko Kuriaki. The anime’s first season began airing in October 2021 on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji and concluded in December 2021. The project consists of a video game, toys by Bandai, a television anime, a partnership with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and an online anime spinoff called “After School.” The project was originally set to begin in the summer of 2017 when it was first announced by Level 5 in 2016.

The events of the story take place after an invasion that wiped out 90% of mankind. The remaining survivors reside in a shelter where their daily activities are observed and their recollections of the invasion are scrubbed. The Musashi robot, made of a substance called Megatronium alloy, is assembled by three machines that are controlled by three teens from the shelter.

The show strikes a balance between robot action and daily classroom life. The narrative is told through the eyes of a unique cast of characters in each different medium, whether it be a video game, anime, or another.
