DRX players have announced which champions they want to release their skins to and here is the full list.The Worlds 2022 Grand Final hosted the major competition between T1 and DRX. Both LCK representatives competed at the highest level to win this year’s title. The DRX came off the play-in phase, grinding its way from the bottom to the top. With the insane efforts of Zeka and Kingen, and team chemistry in general, DRX won the trophy for the first time in franchise history. Every year the winner of the Worlds Trophy gets to choose a champion that they want their special skin to stand out. Most of the best skins in the game are LoL World skins for fans because Riot Games puts effort into it and they also have a meaning. Kingen had many ups and downs in the 2022 season but ended the year with a solid performance in the finals. They picked up the Aatrox twice during the Grand Finals series and demolished their opponents with the champions. He also won the Finals MVP award, mainly thanks to his Atrox performance.Secondly, as expected, Pyosik’s choice is Kindred. Before signing a professional contract, Pyosik used to be a one-trick kindred player, so championing means a lot to him. On the other hand Zeka’s choice is Akali. He was elected champion 6 times and won 4 during Worlds 2022. He has great mechanics with Champion and apparently enjoys playing it.
With the biggest story behind the championship, Daft has chosen Kaitlyn. His career started long back but his most famous champion in those days was Jinx. After a long wait, Daft chooses Caitlyn to be the skin of his world. In the end, Beryl’s choice is still unclear. It will be his otherworldly skin as he chose Leona two years earlier. Even though his choice is still not 100% clear, it could be Ash according to a short phrase from his words.
DRX’s Worlds 2022 win showed every team that everything is possible. They weren’t LCK’s best team this season but somehow managed to make it to the world stage. The DRX were certainly the best-performing team during the play-ins as expected, but again most were not sure they could reach the playoffs. DRX took down Faker’s T1 to lift the trophy and proved everyone wrong. The story behind Deft’s trophy drought is also worth watching. In the end, a DRX win may have come as a surprise to the LoL Worlds betting world but some players have definitely won more than usual with unexpected results.
