Grand Theft Auto 5 is a game that has entertained millions of gamers around the world for years, offering a vast open-world experience where players can engage in various missions, heists, races, and other activities. Despite its popularity, there are still hidden areas and secrets that many players haven’t discovered yet. In this article, we will explore 4 of the most intriguing hidden areas in GTA 5 that you may not have known about. In this article, we will discuss the popularity of GTA 5 and how it offers players an expansive map with hundreds of different locations and areas to explore. We will also mention how some of the game’s most well-hidden and little-known locations can only be found by the most observant players.

1. Epsilon Vantage Point

The first secret area we’ll explore is the Epsilon Vantage Point. Located in the Epsilon Program building, this location is perfect for players seeking a perfect vantage point. By climbing up the building’s back ladders, players can reach the topmost level and access various cone-like structures that overlook the Los Santos roads at the edge of the Epsilon roof. Once inside one of these cones, players can have a top view of the streets, making it a perfect hideout for sniping unsuspecting enemies. The metal cone also provides complete protection from the bullets of outside attackers, making it a useful spot for all sorts of Grand Theft Auto 5 shenanigans.

2. The Tennis Coach’s House

The second secret area is the Tennis Coach’s House. This particular Easter egg is a little easier to spot, and closer to another well-known location on the map than many players would suspect. The backstory behind this little-known detail revolves around the in-game mission titled, “Marriage Counseling,” in which Grand Theft Auto 5’s protagonist Michael De Santa comes home to his mansion in the Rockford Hills looking for his wife. Upon arriving, he notices two suspicious tennis rackets leaning to the side of the entrance doors, triggering De Santa to rush up the stairs and into his and his wife’s bedroom, where he catches her cheating with her tennis coach Kyle Chavis. By traveling across from Madrazo’s affluent home, players will come upon what seems like the GTA 5 tennis coach’s actual home – a more rundown-looking shack littered with tennis balls and rackets all around its outside premises.

3. Ghost Voices By The Seaside

The third secret area is Ghost Voices By The Seaside. If the in-game clock strikes 11:00 PM and players are ready to get spooked, this area may provide a few supernatural surprises. Located by the sea at what seems like a popular campsite (being crowded with several tents), players will eventually start hearing the eerie sounds of various ghostly voices, given that they linger at the site for long enough. These noises range from soft, sinister whispers to distant wailing screams, and randomly occur in striking contrast to the setting’s tranquil sounds of ocean waves and fireflies. As the voices sound both male and female, it’s safe to say the area is haunted by not one, but a number of restless souls. Also, judging from their pained shrieks, it seems that their passings were none-too-pleasant either.

4. Jack Howitzer’s Motel Room

The fourth secret area is Jack Howitzer’s Motel Room. This hidden location is accessed by doing a few sly wall breaches. Done successfully, players will find themselves inside a motel room decorated with various pictures and posters of the in-game celebrity Jack Howitzer. By looking closely at the details, players can see that the room has been used to shoot a low-budget movie.

Players can’t unlock the full potential of a Grand Theft Auto map without doing a few sly wall breaches here and there. Done successfully, wall breaches can lead players to secret rooms, including the motel room of Jack Howitzer. Howitzer is a fictional character within the GTA universe and was first introduced in GTA: Vice City as the lead of an in-game television show.

5. The Taco Van Location

Are you a fan of tacos? Well, you might want to check out this secret vehicle location that features a massive taco van in the northern part of Sandy Shores. The vehicle spawns only between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, so timing is crucial. The unoccupied van is perfect for driving around the map, and it also allows another player to stand safely on its roof without falling off.

6. The Tongva Cave

Located in the Tongva Hills, this small cave offers an excellent vantage point with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. It is only accessible via air transport, and it might take a while to spot, as it is hidden away from the rest of the map. The narrow entrance leads to a small, dark cave that players can use to hide away from enemies.

7. The Secret Cave Bunker

Located on one of the tiny islands of the Pacific Ocean, this secret underground bunker is only accessible via water transport. Upon reaching the base of one of the two trees standing side-by-side, players will suddenly find themselves transported into a secret underground bunker complete with mercenaries and FBI agents standing guard. The base features a variety of vehicles on display, including a red monowheel bike. Players may also stumble upon a few police operatives having a confidential meeting in what looks like a combined office and lounge.

8. The Large Hotel Swimming Pool

Hidden within a large hotel in the middle of Los Santos’ map, this large swimming pool is a perfect mini-feature for shooting scenarios with other players in GTA Online. The pool itself can also be interacted with and is large enough to hold a crowd of several others. The location can also be spotted from above via helicopter.

9. The Los Santos Airport Bunker

Located in the Los Santos airport, this bunker is only accessible by sneaking down a hatch on the roof or through the back doors of the area’s building. The bunker features several objects to interact with, including vending machines and a water cooler. Although it’s a large enough bunker, the doors inside read “Authorized Personnel Only,” leaving not a lot to do or explore. However, it’s an excellent location to hide from the cops as a wanted felon on the run.

10. The Underwater UFO

Located at the bottom of the ocean floor, the underwater UFO is a unique easter egg in GTA 5. Although it is not a secret area per se, the underwater UFO is worth mentioning as it’s a fascinating hidden feature in the game. The UFO is located in the northern part of the map, and players can explore it by scuba diving to the ocean floor.
