The protagonist and another explorer were having a secret conversation in a dangerous mountain environment teeming with dangerous creatures in the previous chapter. Over the course of their discussion, they came to the terrifying realization that the ogres weren’t the only terrifying demonic beings hiding there.
While the protagonist could not fathom keeping a demon as a pet because he believed they roamed free in the forest, the author took a different view. The person or people responsible for generating these demons had the Black Lion Knights in mind when they created them. The discourse took an unexpected turn after mentioning the mountain as the possible location of Vermouth the Great’s tomb.

In “Damn Reincarnation,” Chapter 73, the protagonist travels to a dangerous mountain. Further in, there are much frightening demons, however the main guy does say that ogres are present. Our protagonist can’t believe that demons can be controlled. For training purposes, the Black Lion Knights are taking care of them.
Conversation continues as they learn that while Vermouth the Great’s tomb lies within this mountain, demons have been set free in the area for some reason. The protagonist’s incredulity and subsequent wrath are signs of their dedication to the Lionharts. Their spontaneous display of patriotism has taken their listener by surprise.
In the conversation, the protagonist notes that demons never showed up near Vermouth the Great’s tomb during any of their previous attacks. When the Senate majority leader spies on them, the story takes a turn. Instead of pretending to see the mountain, they decide it’s a bad idea and head directly to the Black Lion Castle.
Despite what the protagonist may think, Ciel is not enthusiastic about the prospect of riding his wyvern. Ciel promises to tell the protagonist before he leaves, but he advises him to leave promptly because additional knights will be arriving shortly. When it becomes apparent that Carmen is not among the new knights, tensions rise.
We don’t sure what the other captains look like, but it seems clear that none of them are Carmen. Even if this is just a test from the Black Lion Knight Order, our protagonist is ready. They charge forward, surprising the knights.
