Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 is expected to feature a lot of water, something that was missing from the first iteration. The latest leak hints at a new swimming mechanic in the game. There have been several Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leaks floating around, revealing almost everything about the game ahead of its official unveiling.

However, Call of Duty: Warzone 2, which is also being developed by Infinity Ward, hasn’t been subject to these many leaks, but some information has managed to creep out. Mostly regarding the map of the game. Now, reliable insider Tom Henderson has revealed some details about the map. He gave an outline of the map, highlighting a few details and locations.

He previously suggested that Warzone 2 will feature maps from the first entry. His revelations also hint that the so-called map will be submerged in water. He reported that this is the main reason behind Warzone 2 introducing a new swimming mechanic. Henderson also hinted that the map will be bigger than Verdansk or Caldera maps that were a part of the first Warzone game.

He claimed that Warzone 2’s map will be used for the latest DMZ mode in the game. Infinity Ward and Activision are yet to make an official announcement but the mode is expected to feature objectives, loot, and extraction-based gameplay. Besides, the map won’t be available for DMZ mode at once, Henderson stated.

Since a different studio is developing Warzone 2, it is not guaranteed they will reuse the gaming engine used for the first installment. Players hope that the next installment in the game is optimized for the next-gen consoles
