If rumors are to be believed, Call of Duty Warzone 2 is a thing and fans don’t have to wait long. As per the recent development of the investor meeting, there have been specific shifts regarding the decision-making of the rumored title.
With the introduction of Infinity Ward, the expectations of the fans will be pretty high. Despite the recent trend of mixed launches, COD Modern Warfare is still successful. Many problems have plagued Warzone till now. Hence fans can’t be blamed if they are expecting some good upgrades from the rumored game.
As per insider Tom Henderson, Call of Duty Warzone 2 will take a fresh start. It’s likely that players will get their stats carried over. This could be a good thing for players. While they will have to grind to get weapons once more, it will offer the opportunity for Warzone 1 and 2 to co-exist. If the game comes out as a fresh installment, the content of the second title will be different from the original.
While there is no problem in Warzone 1’s engine, a different studio developing the new title is also not a guarantee they won’t reuse what was created previously. But if Warzone 2 comes out in 2023, Warzone would have completed a good number of years.
If the two engines happen to be the same, there could be a problem. What felt good in 2020, might not be as good in 2024. While the existing engine can be upgraded to meet the expectations, a new engine is always a better alternative.
Players hope that the next installment in the game is optimized for the next-gen consoles. With Warzone 2 falling into the cycle of next-gen consoles, it is believed that the game will be optimized accordingly. Features such as FOV are not available on console versions of the game. With better optimization, Call of Duty Warzone 2 players will surely expect a better implementation.
