The 2023 Call of Duty League season began on December 2 with online qualifiers for Major 3, the first of five Majors this season. With OpTic Texas and the Seattle Surge as well as the defending champion Los Angeles Thieves retaining their starting lineups from 2022, almost every other team has made some changes. CDL 2023 ushers in a brand new competition with the first LAN of the Major I season. The Pro-Am event will feature 12 franchise teams and four challenger teams, all battling it out for CDL points and a prize pot of US$500,000. Call of Duty League : Results for Major 3 League 2023 Qualifiers:

The third Major of the 2023 CDL season is scheduled to be hosted by OpTic Texas from March 9-12. But for the three weeks prior to that, the 12 CDL franchises will play five online matches to determine their seedings for the LAN event. Although there wasn’t enough time between the end of Major Two and the start of Major Three qualifiers for full-fledged Rostermania, several teams made roster changes. Most notably, OpTic has replaced iLLeY with rising amateur talent Ghosti, who will be making his CDL debut for the league’s most popular team.

Boston Breach is bringing in Beans, another Challengers player, to replace Methodz, who retired at Major Two. Vegas Legion went for a one-man change by swapping 2ReaL for Prolute, while the Florida Mutineers made the most roster moves and now feature a team of Havok, Brack, Fellows and Capsidal. CDL 2023 Major I qualifier format:

Each team will play four qualifying matches over two weeks, and then the league will host the Major I in Raleigh. The top four teams from the Challengers LAN Qualifier stage will join the 12 franchise CDL teams in the Major I group stage. Major I will begin with four groups of four teams each competing in the GSL format. The top two from each group will then advance to a double-elimination bracket to decide the champion of Major I.
