BAEL, a game developer, announced on Monday that it will be releasing a new soccer battle game called Blue Lock Blaze Battle, which will be based on Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura’s Blue Lock soccer manga. The game will be available for iOS and Android platforms later this year and will be free to play with optional in-game purchases.

Blue Lock Project: World Champion, a soccer training simulation smartphone game, was released on December 30, 2022, and was the first smartphone game in the Blue Lock franchise. The new game, Blue Lock Blaze Battle, will be the second smartphone game in the series.

Kodansha USA Publishing has been releasing the original Blue Lock manga in English digitally and in print. The manga revolves around Japan’s national soccer team, which is trying to recover from a devastating defeat in the 2018 World Cup. The team is missing an Ace Striker who can lead them to victory. To address this problem, the Japan Football Union has gathered 300 of Japan’s top young soccer players to create a new striker who is hungry for goals and victory.
