Evolution of the Ring

In a bid to invigorate pacing during the early and middle phases of the battle royale, Ring behavior across maps has undergone precision refinements. These encompass adjustments to ring size, damage, and timings across various game phases. Here’s a meticulous breakdown:

Changes in Ring Size

  • Ring 1 now boasts a 10% augmented radius per map, translating to an approximate 20% expansion in Ring 1’s surface area.
  • No alterations have been made to other ring sizes.

Changes in Ring Damage

  • Ring 2 now inflicts increased damage, escalating from 3 to 4 per tick.
  • The damage doled out by Ring 4 has been pruned, downgrading from 20 per tick to 15 per tick.

Alterations in Timing

Round 1

  • Preshrink time is now truncated from 90s to 75s.
  • Shrink speed on smaller maps has been reduced from 167 to 160.
  • Shrink speed on larger maps has been moderated from approximately 180 to around 165.
  • Shrink time has been standardized to approximately 260s on every map.

Round 2

  • Preshrink time has been curtailed from 165s to 120s.
  • Shrink speed has been scaled down from 160 to 140.
  • Shrink time has been protracted by roughly 25s on each map.

Round 3

  • Preshrink time has been reduced from 135s to 90s.

Round 4

  • Preshrink time has been condensed from 105s to 90s.
  • Shrink speed has been diminished from 100 to 85.
  • Shrink time has been elongated from 40s to around 50s.

Round 5

  • Preshrink time has been abridged from 90s to 75s.
  • Shrink speed has been de-escalated from 50 to 40.
  • Shrink time has been increased from 40s to 50s.

Consequently, the maximum match duration has been streamlined:

  • Small maps: truncated to approximately 19.0 minutes (from roughly 21.5 minutes).
  • Large maps: abbreviated to around 20.0 minutes (from about 22.5 minutes).

Refined Ranking System

Undergoing meticulous fine-tuning, the LP table has undergone adjustments that usher in a reduction in overall LP gains. Notably, Diamond+ Cost Adjustments have amplified losses by 50%.
