Good news for lovers of Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment the company behind the games is experimenting with The Hunt in the Inner Beast Collection Event. The Hunt is no longer a game-changing feature; instead, it is a temporary add-on only. The fact that they may still play standard games in case they don’t enjoy the event is what makes gamers delighted about this adjustment.

How come therefore that players don’t like The Hunt? Some claim it lessens the enjoyment of the game and adds an excessive number of extra fights. Still, till March 19 the event is scheduled. Characters that players love can still have new skins applied to them but not everyone is pleased with the changes. We may soon witness other modifications since Respawn is paying attention to player feedback.

Apex Legends Inner Beast Collection Event Major Updates

Even with The Hunt’s transformation the Inner Beast Collection Event continues, with a conclusion date of March 19. Respawn debuted a variety of limited-time cosmetics for well-known Apex Legends characters like Bloodhound, Rampart and Caustic concurrently with the release of the LTM. In addition Octane fans have access to a redesigned version of his family heirloom Butterfly Knife known as Octane’s Prototype.

But these aesthetic additions haven’t come without criticism with some Apex Legends players criticising them for being little more than boring copies of previously available skins. Community conversation was further sparked by an expressed want for a new Legend to be given an heirloom.

Respawn Entertainment has majorly redesigned the Inner Beast Collection Event in response to player input. The Hunt’s developers changed the game’s Takeover mode halfway through the event timeline to a standalone LTM giving players the option to continue playing conventional Trios and Duos matches without the event-centric mode.

Why The Hunt Fell Short

For players who were disappointed with Takeover the switch from the tournament to LTM portends good news. This modification gives fans of the original Apex Legends game the option to completely avoid the event-themed mode. Despite The Hunt’s attempt to provide something new to the battle royale setting many players were disappointed with the bounty system.

The Prey squad dynamic was introduced which unintentionally made matters worse and increased the number of third-party encounters. The excitement of end-game scenarios was lowered as a result of matches frequently developing in a chaotic manner and a large percentage of the lobby dying early.

Inner Beast Collection Event History

Over its history Respawn’s renowned battle royale game has featured numerous one-time events that are frequently referred to as Collection Events. Battle royale events bring new game modes and the much-desired chance to obtain heirlooms but they also introduce fresh cosmetics giving the genre a distinct taste.

The Hunt the most recent update added a thrilling twist to the traditional action by introducing a bounty system. As much as some LTMs may have received praise The Hunt did not connect with a large enough segment of the player population.

Still it’s clear that Respawn Entertainment is still sensitive to user feedback. Together with the modification to The Hunt the creators have already made changes to a number of other game elements such as the iconic Wingman and a few Legends. The degree to which player feedback influences upcoming content continues to be an interesting story to watch as Season 20 goes on and additional events seem likely.
