EA might have accidentally posted the key art for Apex Legends Season 17 in its article about the Veiled connection event. The article not only revealed the new Legend but also showcased what appears to be a Smart Pistol.

The Veiled collection event is something players have been anticipating, especially Caustic fans. His new Prestige skin and finisher animation is something to get excited about when it comes to longtime mains of the Legend, and there are several skins to be hyped about, along with a modified version of Team Deathmatch.

However, the collection event wasn’t the thing Apex Legends players are most hyped about when going to the landing page. The header image shows the upcoming character being added to the game. However, the character is yet to be announced.

The image was quickly removed, which only adds to the speculation that EA didn’t intend to showcase it to the fans this early on. Also, the character seemed to be holding a smart pistol, a longtime favorite weapon from the Titanfall series.

Apex Legends Season 17 leaks new character

The key art of the latest Legend was removed quickly, but some fans managed to grab screenshots of the key art at the top of the page. From the URL of the image when pulled into another tab, famous data miner KralRido has suggested that the new season could likely be named Arsenal.

Besides, it’s likely that it could be the name of the new Legend. It’s unclear right not, but the images of him have spiked the interest of the fans speculating his possible abilities. The latest Legend appears to be a bit older than the rest of the cast with grey hair and a duster coat that gives him a gunslinger vibe.

Fans also have noticed that his weapon has a striking resemblance to Titanfall’s Smart Pistol, something that has players speculating as to whether or not the weapon will be making its debut in the game.

Apex Legends Rank Mode explained

The ranked mode in Apex Legends Mobile is the same as it was for the base game prior to Season 13. Players start the game at the bottom of Bronze, and spend RP (ELO) to enter a game. If they perform well, they get back more RP, but if they don’t they lose everything they spent.

As players go up the ranks, the entry cost for a game starts jumping up, so by Diamond rank, they will have to shell out a huge amount of RP to enter a game and will have to give their best to go positive.

Unlike traditional ranked modes, players aren’t required to play a series of placement matches. Here, all players simply start in Bronze and need to climb up the ladder. Moreover, players cannot be demoted to a lower rank. They will be at the bottom of the rank if they don’t perform well.
