Today’s new trailer for Apex Legends felt like it was the first time in a very long time that the story of what is currently taking place in the Outlands was moving forward. While the explanations for Loba, Mad Maggie, and Lifeline’s mysterious adventure were lacking, many believe the video suggests that one of the characters has undergone some changes.

Mad Maggie deals with a bartender whom she both headbutts affectionately and then non-affectionately stabs through the hand with several throwing darts, and then she goes to a nondescript facility that is reportedly owned and run by Duardo Silva. After releasing the new trailer, Apex Legends fans are convinced that the leaked season 18:

The facility is protected by several Spectre units, which Maggie invariably activates, forcing the trio to flee and forcing Lifeline to halt her download of whatever the facility is for early. Nevertheless, Loba reveals something that she was able to steal from the facility as the three escape thanks to Valkyrie. A wire is attached to the small orb, which is partially red-lit.

It’s noteworthy that it appears that Loba is keeping this discovery a secret from the rest of the group. Revenant is usually what’s in mind whenever Loba is trying to steal something without alerting her conspirators to the fact, especially when it’s something that isn’t immediately valuable.

The most extensive rework ever performed on a playable character in Apex, according to a long-leaked rumor for season 18, is that the “new” legend that players will be able to play is a full legend rework. Revenant, also known by the codename “Revenant Reborn,” is allegedly that person.

It feels reasonable to assume that this glowing orb has something to do with the psychotic murder robot given the title of this cinematic, “Kill Code,” which feels like a direct reference to Loba and Revenant’s quest for Revenant’s source code that drove both of their stories forward in the game for so long. Also, a lot of Apex supporters appear to concur.

Given how infrequently Revenant is currently used in Apex games, it’s possible that you were unaware that this season saw the addition of a new voice line for Revenant. He complains of a “ringing” in his ears whenever the simulacrum uses a syringe or medical kit to heal. Revenant is a simulacrum after all so that distinctly human problem isn’t supposed to occur to his non-fleshy body and suggests that something is wrong with Revenant as we know him. When part two of Kill Code debuts on July 31, we’ll probably learn more about whatever is going on with Revenant, Loba, and even Mad Maggie, Lifeline, and Duardo Silva.
