Tamiki Wakaki’s manga 365 Days to the Wedding is getting an anime adaptation. The news was confirmed on Wednesday, following the release of the 10th volume of the manga. The anime is expected to follow the story of Takuya and Rika, two single introverted coworkers who fake a relationship to avoid being transferred to Siberia by their employer.
Takuya and Rika are both happy with their quiet, single lives until their employer announces plans to open an office in Siberia. As unmarried employees, they are the first to be considered for the transfer. Desperate to stay in Tokyo, Rika suggests that they pretend to be engaged for a year, which would exempt them from the transfer. The only problem is that they hardly know each other. If they fake a relationship, will it lead to something real?
The 365 Days to the Wedding manga was first published in March 2020 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine. It has since been licensed by Seven Seas. The manga’s popularity led to a live-action series adaptation, which premiered on October 7, 2022.

Tamiki Wakaki is a renowned manga artist, best known for creating The World God Only Knows manga series. The manga inspired three television anime projects and original video anime projects. Wakaki’s other manga, 16bit Sensation: Watashi to Minna ga Tsukutta Bishōjo Game, is also inspiring an anime adaptation with an original story.
